Principal's Advisory Council
Hello and welcome to Antietam Elementary School Principal's Advisory Council webpage. You will find minutes from our meetings and other information about the Advisory Council. We encourage you to voice your comments and concerns to us.

It is our mission to assess the needs of and to represent the Antietam families, teachers, staff and the community. Our meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend. If you have any positive comments or you have questions or concerns, please bring it to the attention of our members.† Our meeting schedule is on this webpage.

In accordance with Regulation 230.01,
Antietam Elementary School annually seeks volunteers who are willing to serve on our Principal's Advisory Council. Each school within the PWCS Division is required to have a principal's advisory council.
Antietamís Prinicipal's Advisory Council is a group of 8 parents and 8 school staff members whose responsibilities include:
1. Assistance and support for the principal and school leadership team in the following:
  • Developing the school plan to include objectives, strategies, and action plans
  • Aligning the school plan and action plans with the Division Strategic Plan
  • Aligning the school budget with the school plan
  • Reviewing the alignment of the school professional development plan with the school plan
2. Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the school plan
3. Assumption of other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the principal and school leadership
Members are selected primarily from parents of current Antietam students, although community representatives may participate, if interested. Members serve a three year term. Meetings are open to the public and are held on the first Monday evening of each month at 6:00 PM in the schoolís library. Any interested citizen is welcome to attend.†

We would like to thank all of the teachers and parents who give their time throughout year to help make the Antietam PAC and our Antietam Community a success. We are very grateful for every ones service to the school and especially to this council.
